Also, some pics of me dressed up as Simon Pegg to go along with my portrait. *Thumbs up* You seriously get good marks for this stuff. Right laugh.
Exam Piece - Field down my lane with buildings from Wakefield skyline added
Based off of this kind of image of Central Park:
I went on a school trip to New York in year 10 and they say you should use these things as inspiration. The premise was to replicate the weirdness of Central park, ie. Giant buildings on the edge of the park look like they're surrounded by tranquil greenery. As if they just disappear into a mass of forest. So I tried doing this with some buildings from Wakefield. Not the most exciting idea in the world, although New York is pretty exciting, mad place, the clothes shops are all like nightclubs and hotels give you free coffee, rad place. Overall plan went off flawlessly, possibly the best executed piece of work I've ever done in my life, I finished in the 10 hours with a little time to spare. Got an A overall, but GCSE Art with the right teacher is a damn fun thing, I recommend it to anyone with a passion for holding phallic objects. Of course.
Side note. Should you ever find yourself in New York, 2 tips:
In day time, go around on foot, you see so much more.
On the island ferries, you have to pay extra to get off at Liberty Island. Just Stay on the boat and look at the statue, believe me, its not worth it now that you cant go to the top and pretend to be the Ghostbusters.
Project 2 Main Piece - The Ancient of Days by William Blake Copy
Me and my Art teacher later decided to put fireballs on this. That was basically my modern reaction to this kind of epic-themed religious iconography: Errrm yeaah stick some fireballs on it
Project 1 Main Piece - Shaun of the Dead Portrait
F*cking love this guy. The only man I've ever known to be in two consecutive trailers at the cinema.
